William "Bill" Bruce Kissner, 63, was born into this world August 19, 1962 to Warren and Mary Kissner and entered into his perfect eternal life October 18, 2025. Bill's family held a private remembrance gathering at Nelson-Hillestad Funeral & Cremation Services in Redwood Falls; he was interred beside his Mother and Sister in the Belview City Cemetery. Bill is survived by his 2 beloved sisters and 3 brothers and their extended families as well as many wonderful friends.
Bill graduated from the Minnesota Braille and Sight Saving School in Faribault, MN on May 30, 1980. He was so proud of this achievement that he wore his class ring until the day of his death. As a young man, he was also part of Boy Scouts Troop #302 and was Confirmed as a Lutheran. He lived much of his adult life in Redwood Falls, MN until his move to Burnsville, MN in 2017. While in Redwood Falls, he worked for several years at different businesses: the railroad, the recycling center and a thrift shop. In Burnsville, he worked for several years doing piecework with his hands until he retired.
Bill was a person of honor in his family. He taught all those blessed to know him very important life lessons through his life. Though he endured numerous challenges, including lack of sight, he lived a very full life and you would seldom hear him complain. As a person who was always completely dependent upon the help and whims of others, he exemplified grace, patience and kindness in a world that is often cruel and that made him strong in our sight, noble in character. He found so much to enjoy in life: his loving family, sports (Go Vikes! Go Twins!), fishing, being the Captain of the pontoon, The Price Is Right game show, televisions, clock radios & stereos, "the farm" with Teresa & family, Barb's home cooked meals & "my room" at her house in the peaceful woods, the warm hugs and precious treats from great nieces and nephews and LOTS of hot coffee and pink lemonade (and the occasional O'Doul's). He could remember nearly every small detail that many of us forget - dates, times, birthdays, sports scores, etc. People were important to Bill. He was anxious to visit with anyone who would give him their time and he displayed impeccable manners while doing so, always saying "please" and "thank you". We thank those who took the time.
Bill lived the majority of his life in 10 x 10 rooms yet found a way to make each of them "his place". And now, because he always knew Jesus Christ was his personal Savior Who died for the sins of all humanity, Bill lives in a mansion prepared especially for him. Blessed be his memory.
"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's House are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know." John 14:1-6
The Nelson-Hillestad Funeral and Cremation Service of Redwood Falls and Morgan were in charge of the arrangements. E-mail condolences may be sent via www.nelson-hillestad.com.
