William David Maunder was born December 30, 1947 in Covington, Kentucky to William Bruce and Rose Marie (Tenario) Maunder. He graduated from Valley High School and went on to attend Santa Ana College. David served in the Army for the U.S. Armed Services. On August 9, 1980, David married Joann Marie Ebert in Wrightwood, California. He was employed through the United Postal Service, as a mail clerk for 30 years, retiring in 2009. David loved camping, bike riding, watching softball, and traveling with his family. He also enjoyed animals, science fiction, anime, and Chinese food.

David’s brother, Charles, fondly remembers when they were kids playing outside. David was mowing the lawn and Charles had fallen, almost cutting off his finger! Charles got him back though, while they were playing army, as he had thrown a fist sized rock at David when he popped his head up. The rock hit him right between the eyes, giving David two black eyes for 2 weeks!

David is survived by his wife, Joann Maunder of Redwood Falls; his daughter, Amber (Nick) Chaco of Redwood Falls; 3 grandchildren, Zechariah, Benjamin, Evelyn; and brother, Charles Maunder of Fallon, NV.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rose Maunder; and brother, Robert Maunder.

Blessed be his memory.
