Stephanie A (Larsen) Cornwell

September 29, 1976 — February 26, 2026

Stephanie Ann (Larsen) Cornwell, Morgan, MN passed away from cancer at the age of 49, surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 2, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Morgan, MN, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Morgan with prayer service at 6:40 PM. Visitation will presume at 9:30 - 11:00 AM at the church the day of the service. 

Stephanie was born on September 29, 1976, in New Ulm, MN to Mike and Sandy Larsen. She graduated from Cedar Mountain High School in 1995 and attended Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN graduating with a Human Service Technician certificate.

Stephanie worked as a laundry aide, CNA and TMA at Gil-mor Manor through high school and after. She also worked at the Willmar State Hospital and the alternative school in Morton. She spent many years at Clements Lumber in Redwood Falls and then onto Farmers Union Industries in Redwood Falls where she was currently working.

Stephanie married Eric Cornwell on May 8,1999. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family, gardening, canning and sharing all the produce with her family. She taught many years of religion class at St. Michael's. Steph was a very kind, caring and humble human being, always willing to help out and pitch in, no matter what the need was. She loved spending time with family, playing pickle ball, putting puzzles together, playing bingo, reading, playing cards and going on walks. She attended countless games, activities and plays of her kids, nieces and nephew, always cheering them on. She thoroughly enjoyed trips to Montana with her husband and family. Her faith was the foundation of who she was and how she lived her life. Her strong faith helped her this past year as she fought the fight, always trusting in His will.

Stephanie was on the We Care board, Kickin' Cancer in Redwood County Board and the Catholic United Financial board. Always giving back to the community. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic church. 

Steph is survived by her husband Eric and her sons Tristan Cornwell of Mankato and Kaleb (Megan) Cornwell and upcoming grandson of Morgan. Mother and Stepfather Sandy Larsen and Alan Roeser, sisters Christie (Ryan) Rudenick, Jessica (Shawn) Guetter all of Morgan and Audrey (Nick) Gleason of Waconia, mother-in-law Jan Cornwell, brother in-law Jim Cornwell, grandmother Lucille Hacker and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her father Mike Larsen, uncles Joe Larsen and Joe Hacker, father in-law Curt Cornwell, brother in-law Brian Cornwell and grandparents Gilbert and Mary Ann Larsen and Clement Hacker, cousin Nicholas Wenisch and other family and friends.

The family prefers memorials to the We Care Food Shelf or Kickin' Cancer in Redwood County.
