Norman Harrison H. DeGroat, age 38 of Fergus Falls, MN passed away peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Lake Region Healthcare, Fergus Falls, MN. A Christian burial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023, from Morton City Cemetery in Morton, MN.

Norman Harrison H. DeGroat, the son of Norma Jean (DeGroat) Robtoy and Donald DeGroat, was born on February 1, 1985 in Detroit Lakes, MN. Norman attended Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf and Blind in Faribault, MN and previously worked at Kraft Foods in New Ulm, MN. He was an avid gamer, enjoyed fishing from the shore, watching movies, spending time with friends and although he didn't have children of his own, he had a special place in his heart for all children.

Norman is survived by his sister, Teresa Hultquist of Belview, MN and his brother, John (Phyllis) Hultquist of Granite Falls, MN, nephews Josiah Hultquist and Isaiah Hultquist, both of Redwood Falls, MN and nieces Madison Read of Glencoe, MN and Jess Olsem (Alex) of Heron Lake, MN and uncle Paul DeGroat of Redwood Falls, MN.

He was preceded in death by his mother Norma Jean (DeGroat) Robtoy and his father Donald DeGroat, Grandmother Alice DeGroat and Grandfather Norman DeGroat and uncle Sam DeGroat.

The family of Norman DeGroat gratefully acknowledges all acts of kindness and expressions of sympathy. No individual acknowledgments will be sent.
