Myrtle Rose, 97, of Morgan died Friday, January 16, 2015 at Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from Bethany Lutheran Church, rural Gilfillan, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 9:30 until 11 a.m., at the church

Myrtle Alice Christiansen was born April 9, 1917 to Carl and Julia (Axland) Christiansen in Morgan Township, Redwood County. She was baptized in Bethany Lutheran Church on May 28, 1917 and confirmed there on September 4, 1932. Myrtle attended Gilfillan grade school and Morgan High School. She received her teacher’s certificate at Redwood Falls Teacher’s Training and then taught in District 34 rural school.
