Mildred Bunting

Mildred "Millie" Bunting, age 98, of Redwood Falls, MN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at CentraCare - Redwood Hospital in Redwood Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the First Presbyterian Church in Redwood Falls, MN, with burial to follow in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Mildred Dean Bunting, was born on May 24, 1925, at home along with her twin brother Mike, in Redwood County, to George and Emma (Johnson) Tordsen. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Redwood Falls High School. Millie was the secretary for the County Superintendent of Schools for four years after graduating from High School. On October 5, 1947, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Bunting in Redwood Falls and lived and worked on the farm. Millie was the Sunday School Superintendent at Delhi Presbyterian Church for many years.

She loved baking and always had the freezer full of cookies and bars. She enjoyed playing cards, putting together puzzles, crossword puzzles and visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Jim Bunting of Farmington, Marge Bunting of Eden Prairie, Larry Bunting of Redwood Falls, Randy (Nancy) Bunting of Buffalo and Cindy Bunting of Eden Prairie; grandchildren, Tim, Joel (Nikki), Chris (Aly), Eric, Ryan, Mitch, Justin Bunting, and Stephanie (Max) Lundeen; four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth; daughter, Darlene and daughter in-law, Sue; sisters, Arlene Tordsen, Ruth Jacobson, and Harriet Bornschlegl; brothers, Mike and Bob Tordsen.
