Mary E. Weigelt

Mary E. Weigelt, age 76, of Minneapolis, MN, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Gil-Mor Manor Nursing Home in Morgan, Minnesota. A private family funeral service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024.

Mary Ellen, the daughter of Ervin “Sandy” and Geraldine (Villebrun) Goodwin, was born on December 3, 1947 in Mahnomen, Minnesota.

Mary Lived and worked as a waitress in south Minneapolis most of her life until retirement in 2012. She enjoyed all her jobs and was best known at Grandma’s Kitchen on East Lake St. She loved playing bingo, card games, dice games and gardening. Most of all Mary loved each and every one of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters; Tina Townsend of Minneapolis, Julie Townsend of Redwood Falls; special friend, Wilmar Skippingday of Minneapolis; brothers and sisters; Geri "Ninny" Goodwin of Mahnomen, Craig (Donna) Goodwin of Richfield, Guy Goodwin of Mahnomen, Charli (Ken) Lacey of Burnsville and Bobbi (Joel) Rodriguez of Bloomington; 6 grandchildren and 2 adoptive grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ervin "Sandy" and Geraldine Goodwin; grandson, Nathan Zahn; 7 brothers and 1 sister.
