Mary Ann Krueger, age 101, of Redwood Falls passed away peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2023 surrounded by her family at Garnette Gardens in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from the St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls, with burial to follow in the Peace Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 9:30 until 11 a.m. at the church.

Arrangements are with Nelson-Hillestad Funeral and Cremation Services of Redwood Falls. 

Mary Ann E. Krueger, the daughter of John and Margaret (Welsch) Frank, was born on July 7, 1922 in New Avon Township, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso where she also attended school. On February 24, 1944 Mary Ann married William Krueger. They farmed in Willow Lake Township until 1964, operated the Brewster Service Station in Sanborn for two years, and moved to Redwood Falls, MN.

Mary Ann was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls and did many volunteer jobs in the community. She was an avid Minnesota Twins fan, loved to play the card game 500, and put many puzzles together. Mary Ann was a Christian woman chosen by God, loved, and forgiven by Jesus and brought to faith by the Holy Spirt.

She loved being with her children; 7 grandchildren, John (Marcy Jo) Fenske of Owatonna, MN, Bill (Amy) Fenske of Sitka, AK, Lesley (Paul) Gray of Lakeville, MN, Marcel (Stephanie) Krueger of Redwood Falls, MN, Nathan(Kari) Brandt of Marshall, MN, Adam Brandt of rural Redwood Falls, MN, Alyssa (Trevor) Krieger Billings, MT, 14 great grandchildren, Jacob, Peter, Sam (Rachel) Fenske, Nick and Jack Gray, Easton and Holden Krueger, Olivia, Dylan, Ben and Noah Krieger, Hailey, Reagan and Taylor Brandt; 3 great-great grandchildren Hudson, Mason and Baker Fenske. Mary Ann is survived by her son, Wayne (Beth) Krueger of Park Rapids, MN, and daughter Janice (Gene) Fenske of Redwood Falls. Also surviving is one sister, Elaine Schmidt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1996, daughter, Linda Brandt Fixsen and son-in-law, Jeff Fixsen, brothers Raymond Frank, Edward (and Alice) Frank, Wilbur (and Joan) Frank, sisters Helen Frank, Dorothy (and Gordon) Georgius, Louise (and Harry Zwach, Arlene (and Howard) Welu, and brother-in-law, Lloyd Schmidt.
