Marjory “Bunny” Myrtle Nolting was born on April 5, 1931, to Michael and Myrtle Kohn in St. Paul, Minnesota, the second of six children. She grew up in the St. Paul area, graduating from Harding High school in 1949 as one of ten students to graduate with Distinction.
On September 23, 1950, Bunny married the love of her life, Bob Nolting at First Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. They resided south of Redwood Falls, where they farmed side by side for 13 years and started lovingly raising their five children. The family moved to Redwood Falls and Bunny worked at Ehlers men’s clothing store for many years. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Redwood Falls for over 70 years, having joined as a young married couple in 1953. Bunny directed the choir for over 25 years and after passing the baton to someone younger, she still enjoyed singing in the choir. Bunny’s church was so important to her as shown in her many hours serving on committees, youth activities, Women’s Circle and bible studies, The Quilters, First Presbyterian Holiday Fair, and so many other volunteer opportunities. She served in her community through activities as a 4-H leader, The Revera Study Club, Eastern Star, Jobs Daughters, and supporting school functions. Over the years, Bunny’s free time was spent crafting, sewing, bowling, gardening, playing board games or cards and logging her many miles on camping trips.
Bunny is survived by children Donald (Brenda) Nolting, Linda (Michael) Dahmes, Carol (Bradley) Stienstra; Nancy (Kevin) Miller and James Nolting; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother Ed (Eileen) Kohn, sister Susan (Roger) Rudeen, sister-in-law Alice Kohn and many others that she continued to surround herself with and consider family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob of 73 years; her parents, Michael and Myrtle Kohn; brothers Eugene and Richard Kohn, and sister Georgia.
Loved beyond words and forever remembered.
