Lorraine Myra Hauser, the daughter of Leonard and Adelia (Zwach) Hauser, was born on November 23, 1941, in New Ulm, MN. The family lived in rural Sleepy Eye where she attended and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1959.  She married Lawrence Seifert on April 23, 1963, at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye.  After their marriage they lived in rural Clements where they farmed and raised their children together. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Morgan and previously a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Clements.  Lorraine was an active member of St. Joseph’s Mission Group, church choir and CCW.

Lorraine enjoyed visiting with friends and family and always showed interest in her two grandchildren. She loved her cats and would often fret when one was missing. She also provided her husband in-home care for as long as she was able. Anytime she had extra cash on hand, she would give it to one of her favorite charities, forgoing her own needs. Each year, many gladioli would fill the house while they were in full bloom. In the summer, geraniums could be seen outdoors. When time allowed, she enjoyed reading, playing solitaire, and doing word search puzzles. Lorraine lived a holy, simple life, not needing new or fancy things to be happy. Her advice to all would be to pray daily, go to church regularly, and be kind.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Seifert of rural Clements; her son, Michael and wife Jean Seifert of Redwood Falls, and daughter, Denise and husband Larry Mahoney of Appleton, MN; two grandchildren, Andrew and Anna Mahoney; sister, Mary Jane and husband Everett Sellner of Sleepy Eye, MN; brothers, Leonard Hauser Jr. and special friend Joyce of Essig, MN, Lavern Hauser and special friend Teresa of Sleepy Eye, MN, John Hauser and wife Sharon of Sleepy Eye, MN.  Lorraine was preceded in death by her son, Jerome Seifert; one brother, Anthony Hauser; one sister, LuAnn Aschenbrenner and brother-in-law, Mark Aschenbrenner; and a nephew, Leon Hauser.

Blessed be her memory.
