Lloyd “Slivers” Blomeke, 80, of Morgan died Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan. Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012 from St. John Lutheran Church in Morgan. Burial with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012 at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Morgan. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 9 until 11 a.m., the church. Arrangements are with the Nelson-Martin Funeral Service of Morgan. Slivers grew up in Morgan and received his formal education there, graduating with the Morgan High School Class of 1949. He was inducted into the United States Army in 1953 and served during the Korean Conflict. Slivers was honorably discharged in 1955 and returned to Morgan.
