On January 20, 1962, Linus married Patricia Jaros in Vesta. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Morgan where he served on the church board and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Linus also belonged to the Lions Club. He enjoyed snowmobiling and motorcycling in his younger years. Linus loved farming and traveling with his wife.
Linus is survived by his sons Daniel (Mary) Tauer of Morgan, Michael (Aunie) Tauer of Becker, and Dr. Thomas (Lisa) Tauer of Effort, Pennsylvania; and his grandchildren Marisa (fiancé Nate) Tauer, Stephanie Tauer, Bryant Tauer, Liz Tauer, Tricia Tauer, Rachael Tauer, Michael Tauer, and Sophia Tauer. Also surviving are his brothers Eugene and Jerome Tauer, both of Morgan. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Tauer in 1993, and his daughter Theresa Marie.
