June Kuehn

June M. Kuehn, age 84, of Redwood Falls, MN, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023 at St. John’s Lutheran Home in Springfield, Minnesota. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023 from Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls, MN, with burial to follow in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home.

June Marie Kuehn, the daughter of Joseph and Geneva (Johnson) Welch, was born on April 18, 1939, in Sheridan Township, Minnesota. She had a fulfilling career and worked at Zytec and Artesyn for many years. She was dedicated to her work and made valuable contributions during her time at both companies. She was a member of Posen Church in rural Woodlake and also attended Presbyterian Church in Redwood Falls. 

She adored spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Known as "Grandma" to everyone, she treated all the kids at St. Johns as if they were her own. June had a special love for angels and had a cherished collection of little glass ornaments. Watching the Vikings play was one of her favorite pastimes, and she also enjoyed spending her nights at Jackpot with music and friends. She enjoyed attending the various events of her grandkids and great grandkids which brought June tremendous happiness. She didn't hesitate to go anywhere they needed her; all she needed was a ride. During her time at St. Johns June found pleasure in playing bingo, coloring, playing games and any craft that involved glitter.

She is survived by her son Dave (Peggy) Kuehn of Redwood Falls; six loving grandchildren; eight cherished great-grandchildren; sister, Pat (Orlo) Steffen of Mankato and Harlan (Marty) Welch of Morgan; sister, Susie (Dean) Como of Mankato; and a host of other extended family members and friends.

June was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Geneva Welch; daughter, Lori Williams; sisters, Carol, Maxine, Joyce; brothers, Dwayne, Leland and Gary; grandson, Seth Kuehn; and great-grandson, Parker Tisue.

June Marie Kuehn will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her kind-hearted nature, and her unwavering faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
