Joyce was born on November 3, 1935, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, to Alvin "Swede" and Nellie Anderson.

Joyce married the love of her life, Lyle Witte, on June 1, 1958, at First United Methodist Church in Redwood Falls. Together they built a life centered on love, hard work, and family. They first settled in a trailer on Lyle's family farm before renting a farm site south of Bird Island. Following the passing of Lyle's father, they returned to the family farm, where they farmed together and later expanded into the cattle business. Joyce worked as a dental assistant before dedicating herself full-time to the farm alongside Lyle until their retirement.

Joyce found great joy in spending time at the family cabin on Nest Lake, where she loved fishing. She also enjoyed fishing trips throughout Minnesota and Canada and loved to travel. She was an active member of Morton Lutheran Church, where she sang in the church choir. Joyce was also a member of the Red Hats Club and the Morton Lioness Club.

In 2024, Joyce and Lyle moved to Garnette Gardens in Redwood Falls, where they enjoyed being closer to family and friends.

Joyce's greatest joy was the life she built with Lyle, the family she loved, and the friendships she cherished. She found peace in the outdoors, especially while fishing at the lake. Her legacy of hard work, quiet strength, and devotion to those she loved will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Joyce is survived by her brother, Art (Carol) Anderson; her brother-in-law, Gary (Harriett) Cornwell; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Witte, her parents, Alvin "Swede" and Nellie Anderson, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ray and Ardell Jensen and sister-in-law, Harriett Cornwell.

Blessed be her memory.
