Jim Roth, 77, of Redwood Falls passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 at his home. A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2012 from Living Word Church in Redwood Falls. Military honors will be held following the service. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at a later date.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Jimmie George Roth, the son of Jacob and Harriet Grace (Parks) Roth, was born December 5, 1934 in Englewood, Colorado. Jim grew up in Colorado, later residing in Wyoming and California. He served his country with the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
On June 28, 1959, Jim married Nancy Margaret Ammon. Jim was a farmer and rancher most of his life; he especially enjoyed working with horses. He and his family lived in Colorado, Wyoming, California, Nebraska and Minnesota; in 2001, he and Nancy retired and moved to Redwood Falls. Jim was a member of Living Word Church in Redwood Falls where he served as a group leader and did grounds maintenance. He was well-known for his giving heart. Jim also enjoyed fishing, photography, and nature drives.
Jim is survived by his wife Nancy of Redwood Falls; children Davana (Mark) Kosek of Riverdale, Richard (Adolia) Roth of Fairfax, Randall (Belle) Roth of Lake Lillian, and Rae Jeanna (Larry David) Stillson of Redwood Falls; 21 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, three brothers, and three sisters.
