Born on July 20, 1946, Gary lived a life filled with dedication and love, leaving behind a legacy cherished by those who knew him.
Gary dedicated a significant portion of his life to his career as a maintenance worker at Control Data, including roles at MPI, Zytec, and the Artesyn Plant in Redwood Falls, MN, where he was known for his reliability and hard work. His commitment to his profession continued until his retirement in July 2006, after which he embraced life with an adventurous spirit that included fishing, hunting, and joyful weekends at his beloved cabin at Nest Lake in Spicer, Minnesota.
A man of courage, Gary proudly served in the Army, having been drafted in 1964 and honorably discharged in 1965. He experienced the trials of the Vietnam War, a chapter in his life that shaped him and instilled in him a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life and the love of family.
Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Joleen, whose companionship was a constant source of strength and joy throughout his life. He leaves behind four devoted sons: Jason Teick, Jeremy Teick, and Jesse (Shayna) Teick, all of whom reside in Redwood Falls and Justin Teick, Lucan. They carry forward Gary's spirit and values in their lives, enriched by the lessons he imparted to them. He was also a proud grandfather to three grandchildren; Dakota, Olivia, and Audrina whose happiness brought him immeasurable joy.
His sister, Sandi (Lon) Isaacson, shares in the grief of losing a brother who was not only family but also a friend. In his absence, they hold onto the many memories made together, reflecting the love and laughter that enriched their lives.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Darlene Teick, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms, proud of the man he had become.
As we remember Gary, we do so with gratitude for the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the love he shared, a legacy that will forever be a part of those who knew him best. His spirit lives on in every story told and every smile shared, reminding us to appreciate life’s simple pleasures and the bonds of family.
May he rest in peace.
