Clarice (Dolly) Irene Perrizo was born to Robert C. and Sophia (Tiedji) Freitag on March 15, 1929 in Redwood Falls. Dolly grew up in Redwood Falls and graduated from Redwood Falls High school in 1948.
Dolly married Richard (Red) Schueller in April 1949 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Seaforth, Minnesota. They lost their son, Jonathan Robert Schueller in childbirth. Richard passed away on December 9, 1967.
Dolly married LeRoy E. Perrizo in November 1971 at St. Catherine’s Church in Redwood Falls. LeRoy passed away September 19, 1990.
Out of high school Dolly worked for Ben Franklin before beginning a 20-year career at Montgomery Wards in Redwood Falls. She then worked out of her home doing the accounting for her husband, LeRoy’s, oil business.
Dolly loved getting together with family and friends to play cards and board games and enjoyed an occasional trip to play the slot machines. She continued to maintain her own home after LeRoy passed away, although Christmas decorating transitioned from award winning outdoor lighting to an awe-inspiring array of Christmas villages covering every inch of interior space in her home. At age 90 Dolly joined her friends to live at Garnette Gardens in Redwood Falls until health issues necessitated a move to River Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Dolly is survived by her stepson - Michael (Sydney) Perrizo, step-grandchildren – Michaela (Larry) Perrizo and great grandchild Giada; Joseph (Jennifer) Perrizo and great grandchild
Claire; and Ryan Perrizo; her nephew, Richard (Elizabeth ‘Betty’) Freitag and many Schueller and Perrizo in-laws and nieces and nephews.
