Carol Mae Timm was born on May 5, 1938 at home in Morgan Township to Everett and Vernice (Luepke) Timm. Carol lived a life rooted in faith, family, and the traditions of her community. She graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1956, and on October 10, 1957, Jerroll Ivan Dittbenner Sr. married Carol Mae Timm at Zion Lutheran Church in Morgan, Minnesota. Zion remained a deeply meaningful place throughout her life. Carol was baptized, confirmed, and married there, and she was a devoted member of Zion Lutheran Church in Morgan. Her service to others was reflected in the many ways she shared her time and heart, including as a 4-H leader, Sunday School teacher, member of Ladies Aid and VBS, and volunteer for AAL and Thrivent.

Carol worked side by side with Jerry Sr. on the farm, building a life marked by dedication, hard work, and love for the land. She found joy in the everyday blessings around her. She loved fishing with her husband and family, and she enjoyed sightseeing and camping. She had a special fondness for Tupperware and taking photographs, preserving moments that mattered to her. Carol was also an avid collector of vases and cat figurines, and she dearly loved her farm animals, especially baby lambs and kittens.

Above all, Carol’s life was centered on those she loved. She is survived by her sons, Jerry (Jan) Dittbenner of Morgan, MN and Jim (Theresa) Dittbenner of Starbuck, MN; her seven grandchildren, Aaron, Nathan, Sara, Jason, Jon, Jared, and Jodee; and 12 great-grandchildren. The love of her family will remain one of her most lasting legacies, carried forward in memories shared by generations.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Jerroll Dittbenner Sr. (2007) her father, Everett Timm (1985); her mother, Vernice Timm (1981); 2 infant sisters, Kerry (1953) and Corrine (1950); her brother, Wayne (2013) and (Maxine) Timm (2011); brothers-in-law, Reuben (Ruby) Dittbenner and Armin (Eldora) Dittbenner.

Carol will be remembered for her faithful spirit, her steady work, her love of family life, and the simple joys she embraced so fully. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved her.

REV 2:10 “be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life”
