Beverly Nelson

Beverly "Bev" A. Nelson, age 69, of Vesta passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at the CentraCare Redwood Hospital in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. A private family graveside service will be held in the High Island Cemetery in New Auburn, Minnesota at a later date.

Beverly Ann Nelson, the daughter of Hilbert and Lorina (Muchow) Schimmelpfennig, was born February 13, 1954 in Gaylord, Minnesota. Bev grew up in the New Auburn area, graduating from Glencoe Senior High School in 1972. She resided in Vesta, Minnesota for the last 19 years. She will be greatly missed.

Bev is survived by her husband, Steve Nelson of Marshall, MN; children, Brian Heideman of Minneapolis, MN and James (Linda) Heideman of Blue Earth, MN; brother, Charles (Kimberly) Schimmelpfennig of Darwin, MN; sisters, Brenda (Randy) Spaude of Brownton, MN and Linda (James) Stark of New Auburn, MN and brother Gary (Amy) Schimmelpfennig of Gibbon, MN; 9 grandchildren, Kara, Kayla, Hannah, Ryan, Blake, Tyler, Joey, Brian Jr. and Isabelle; and 2 great grandchildren, Dawson and Isla.

She was preceded in death by her parents Hilbert and Lorina; daughter DeAnn (Schimmelpfennig) Heller; great granddaughter Micah Salmela and many cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, family and friends who left us too soon.
