Virginia "Ginny" Lothert

Virginia “Ginny” Lothert, 62, of Redwood Falls died on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Wood Dale nursing home in Redwood Falls. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls with burial to follow in the Morton City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, August 13, 2018, from 4 until 8 p.m., at Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and will continue on Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Virginia “Ginny” Lothert, the daughter of Romuald and Joan (Bierl) Baumann, was born June 23, 1956 in Tracy, MN. She received her education in the Walnut Grove schools graduating from Walnut Grove high School in 1974. On August 14, 1976 she married Dennis Lothert at the St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Walnut Grove. After their marriage they moved to Redwood Falls to raise their family. Virginia “Ginny” worked at Artesyn Technologies as a Process Tech for over 29 years until retiring in 2004. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls and enjoyed painting ceramics, sharing her love for ceramics by teaching ceramic classes and making jewelry. She also enjoyed playing bingo and solitaire. “Ginny” was an avid Vikings and Twins fan and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis of Redwood Falls; children, Tara (Allen) Ruter of Atwater,MN, Tammy (Lewis) Louwagie, Zachary Lothert and Tyler Lothert, all of Redwood Falls,MN; five grandchildren, Caleb and Emma Ruter, Alex, Isaac and Ethan Louwagie; her mother, Joan Baumann of Redwood Falls, MN; brothers and sisters, Bill (Kathy) Baumann of Windom, MN, Ron (Jean) Baumann, of Peyton, CO, Mary (Jim) Bodensteiner of Maple Grove, MN, Sally (Loren) Burmeister of Eagan, MN, Dean Baumann of Clear Lake, MN, and Charlie (Lisa) Baumann of Waconia, MN.
Virginia “Ginny” was preceded in death by her father Romuald; three brothers, David, Jerry and Rick Baumann; mother in-law, Della Lothert and brother in-law, Stan Lothert.
