Rose Agnes McGovern

Rose A. McGovern, 92, of Redwood Falls died Thursday, March 12, 2015 at her home. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at a later date in St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at the church. Rose Agnes McGovern, the daughter of John and Agnes (McBride) McGovern, was born March 6, 1923 on the family’s farm in Redwood Falls Township, Redwood County. She spent her younger years in rural Redwood Falls and later moved to Redwood Falls. Rose graduated, at the top of her class, from Redwood Falls High School. Following graduation, Rose did office work in Redwood Falls. In 1948, she began working for Redwood County as Deputy Clerk of County Court.
