Richard "Richie" Goblirsch Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Richard “Richie” Goblirsch, 72, of Redwood Falls, passed away at Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan on Sunday, May 1, 2022. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2022 with a Parish Prayer Service at 4:00 p.m., all at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso. Visitation will continue from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Burial will follow at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are with Nelson-Hillestad Funeral and Cremation Service of Redwood Falls. Condolences may be sent via www.nelson-hillestad.com. Richard Henry Goblirsch was born February 20, 1950 to his parents Raymond and Veronica (Plaetz) Goblirsch in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. He attended St. Anne’s School, where he graduated in 1968. On October 16, 1976 he was married to Shirley Holme at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso, Minnesota. They became parents to three children, Brenda, Susie, and Joni. Richard was a carpenter for 51 years, retiring in 2018. Richard is survived by his wife, Shirley (Holme) Goblirsch of Redwood Falls; children, Brenda (Eric) Goblirsch of Minnetonka, Susie (Tom) Gillespie of Woodbury, and Joni (Bill) Walker of Louisville, KY; siblings, Theresa (Ed) Wertish of Redwood Falls, Don (Marcis) Goblirsch of Wabasso, Virginia Salfer of Wabasso, Jerome (Patti) Goblirsch of Fairmont, Jim (Karen) Goblirsch of Wabasso, Kathy (Bill) Bloedow of Redwood Falls, Tony Goblirsch of Wabasso, Ed (Beth) Goblirsch of Wabasso, and Mark (Robin) Goblirsch of Wabasso; and grandchildren, Braeden Knight, Emma Knight, Henry Gillespie, Cassie Walker, Colin Walker, and Cori Walker. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Veronica (Plaetz) Goblirsch; two brothers in infancy; father and mother-in-law, Clifford and Rosemary Holme; brother-in-laws, Dennis Salfer and Frank Holme; and sister-in-law, Mary Wyman.
