Richard "Dick" Thomas Cady

Richard “Dick” Cady, 71, of Wabasso died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center in Redwood Falls. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from Cornerstone Christian Church in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2012, from 5 until 8 p.m., at the Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls.

Richard Thomas Cady, the son of George and Anna (Coubal) Cady, was born January 6, 1941 in Redwood Falls. He received his formal education in Redwood Falls Public Schools.

On November 7, 1964, Dick married Donna Marie Risse at the United Pilgrim Church in Wabasso. The couple made their home in Wabasso where they raised their family. Dick was employed as a janitor at the Wabasso Public School for over 30 years until his retirement in 2000. He also had worked as a delivery person and a truck driver.

Dick is survived by his wife Donna of Wabasso; his children Lisa (Greg) Epley of Wabasso, and Richard “Mike” Cady of Redwood Falls; and grandson Jordan Cady. Also surviving are his brother Ernest (Judy) Cady of El Camino, California; and his sisters Sue (Doug) Ziegenhagen of Morgan, Ruth Ann (Glenn) Good Thunder of Morton, Anna Marie Pendleton of Morton, Jo Ann Dehncke of Morton, and Betty Smith of Redwood Falls. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
