Pearl Lussenhop, 103, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center in Redwood Falls. Private burial will be held at the Redwood Falls Cemetery. A memorial service will be held June 25, 2011 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.

Pearl Vick Lussenhop, the daughter of Adolph and Lizzie Vick was born June 27, 1907 in Lake Lillian. She was baptized and confirmed at Tromso Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian. Pearl attended District 3 school and graduated from Atwater High School in 1925. She attended and graduated from Normal School in Olivia and then taught school in Hawick, Redwood Falls, and District 19 in Kandioyhi County.
On September 30, 1933, Pearl married Carl Lussenhop in Mankato and they resided in Redwood Falls. Carl died in 1983 and Pearl continued to live in the family home until moving to Sunwood at age 100. Pearl was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and for many years was dedicated to the quilting ministry and Martha Circle. She also served on the AFS board and enjoyed her flowers and gardening.
Pearl is survived by her children Carolyn Lussenhop of Arlington, Virginia, Chuck (Mary Jane) Lussenhop of Redwood Falls, and Jeanne (James) Vevang of Renton, Washington; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her AFS daughter Francine Schallenberg (Vadim) Kersha of Branchville, New Jersey. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, and five sisters.
