Mary Jean “Becky” Small, 84, of Redwood Falls died Monday, August 29, 2011 at Wood Dale Nursing Home in Redwood Falls. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2011 from First Presbyterian Church in Redwood Falls with burial to follow in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m.

Mary Jean “Becky” Small, the daughter of Frederick H. Beckendorf and Mary Harris (Carbert) Beckendorf, was born February 6, 1927 in Flora Township, Renville County, Minnesota. She grew up in Flora Township and attended Delhi Public School through the eighth grade. Becky received her high school education in Redwood Falls.
On February 1, 1950, Becky married Harold Elwin Rogers and they made their home in Redwood Falls. Harold preceded her in death in 1997. On March 14, 1998, Becky married Howard Eugene Small; he preceded her in death in 2007.
Becky was employed in retail clothing sales, retiring from J.C. Penney Company in 1986 after more than 25 years with the firm. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Redwood Falls.
Becky is survived by a number of cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Harold; and her second husband, Howard.
