Jeanne Goblirsch, 71, of Redwood Falls died Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Wood Dale Home in Redwood Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from St. Catherine’s Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, September 27, 2013, from 4 until 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m., all at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church and will continue on Saturday at the church for one hour prior to services.

Jeanne requested that memorials be directed to Seasons hospice.

Jeanne Marie (Paulson) Kodet Goblirsch, the daughter of Ivan and Marie (Neyers) Paulson, was born June 8, 1942 in Hawthorne, California. She grew up in the Sleepy Eye area and attended Evan Country School until fifth grade. At that time, Jeanne transferred to St. Mary’s school in Sleepy Eye; she graduated there in 1960. Following graduation, Jeanne worked at the Morgan State Bank in Morgan.

On June 6 1962, Jeanne married Alois Kodet in Sleepy Eye and they made their home in the Bechyn area. Jeanne moved to Redwood Falls in 1985 where she operated a day care for several years. She then was employed at Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center as a CNA and TMA for a number of years. Jeanne then worked for public health as a home health aide and school health aide until her retirement in 2005.

Jeanne married Gary Goblirsch on November 30, 1996 in St. Catherine’s Catholic Church and the couple made their home in Redwood Falls. She was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women where she served as president and organization chairperson. Jeanne volunteered at Seasons hospice and for Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed gardening, camping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Jeanne loved driving the tractor and helping with field work on the farm.

Jeanne is survived by her husband Gary Goblirsch of Redwood Falls; children Bradley (Virginia) Kodet of Prior Lake, Jerilyn Kodet (friend Rick Kramer) of Redwood Falls, Daniel (Erika) Kodet of Redwood Falls, Todd (Traci) Kodet of Goodyear, Arizona, Jennifer Kodet (friend Mark Wedge) of Redwood Falls, Aaron (Amber) Kodet of Wabasso, and Jonathan (Lisa) Kodet of Farmington; stepson Scott Goblirsch of Redwood Falls; and stepdaughter Kelly (Jason) Steffl of Redwood Falls. Also surviving are grandchildren Cameron Haase, Alexis and Josephine Kodet, Aryn, Erik, Jason, and Lisa Kodet, Victoria and Allison Roiger, Ava Kodet, and Morgan Kodet; stepgrandchildren Shawn, Trevor and Sarah Goblirsch, and Kaitlin and Alexa Steffl; four great-grandchildren; brothers Father Jerome Paulson of Spicer, and Robert (Judy) Paulson of Sleepy Eye; sister Colleen (Ron) Van Slooten of Willmar; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Kristi Lee Kodet.
