Janet Ann Frazier, the daughter of Herbert and Mary J. (Foley) Schmit, was born September 5, 1944 in Redwood Falls. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Catholic Church in Morton. Jan attended Morton High School. She and her first husband were blessed with four children before their divorce. Jan then lived and worked in Minneapolis for several years before relocating to Louisville, Kentucky.

On May 16, 1972, Jan married Sherman Frazier in Louisville. She worked at Target for many years and then at Hanna Anderson Company in Louisville. Jan and Sherman moved back to Minnesota 12 years ago to be closer to her children, mother and sisters. Jan worked at Tersteegs and Family Dollar store in Redwood Falls. She loved to crochet, go fishing, and shop at flea markets. Jan enjoyed her friends; she was always happy and had a big smile for everyone.

Jan is survived by her loving husband, Sherman; her beloved cat, Toby; and children Reginald (Karen) Pendleton of Redwood Falls, and Robin Pendleton, Anita Pendleton, and Ronald Pendleton all of Morton. Also surviving are her grandchildren Kevin (Clarica), Robin Jr., Caitlain, Roberta, River, and Hunter; great-granddaughters Justice, Charlise, and Cyril; sisters Margaret (Randy) Groothuis of Pillager, and Nancy Schemmel of Morgan; brothers-in-law Jimmy Frazier, Ray Paterson, and Bobby Paterson; sister-in-law Rita Paterson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Mary, and step-father Sylvester Lothert.

Blessed be her memory.
