Emmy Marie Biegler, of Anaheim Hills, California and formerly of the Morgan area, died April 15, 2012. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Bethany Lutheran Cemetery, near Gilfillan where, in keeping with her wishes, Emmy will be buried next to her family.

Emmy was born May 4, 1918 in Denmark. In 1922, when Emmy was four years old, she immigrated to Minnesota with her parents, Johannes Kristian Bell and Ellen S. Bell, and her older sister Inger (Margaret).

On Valentine’s Day 1938, Emmy married Lawrence J. Biegler. They moved to California in 1963 where they retired in Ontario, California. The couple was together for 59 years before Lawrence passed away in 1997.

Emmy was loved by all who knew her. She was kind, fun loving, and always had a smile on her face. Emmy loved to be with her family and friends. She loved and was proud of her two children, and adored her two granddaughters, great-grandson, and great-granddaughter. Emmy enjoyed country music and would sing country songs with her granddaughters at her side as she accompanied them on the organ. Her family will cherish her silly Danish songs, lovingly carried down from her children to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Emmy spent the last few years at Westridge Elderly Care in Anaheim Hills, California where her needs were lovingly met by the owner, staff, and Vitas Hospice.

She is survived by her son Gregory Allan Biegler of Ontario, California; daughter Eileen (Frank) Mastromatteo of Anaheim Hills, California; granddaughters Michelle McNabb of Brea, California, and Marissa (Art) Soto of Chino Hills, California; and great-grandchildren Denver Michael Soto, and Caitlyn Eileen McNabb.

May you rest in peace with the Lord, our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. We will miss you and keep you in our hearts always.
